Providing speech-language therapy services to K-5 students within a public school setting requires a dedicated and knowledgeable professional. This opportunity is for a contract position serving the speech and language needs of students with special education requirements. The right candidate will work with a caseload ranging from 40 to 60 students, delivering personalized intervention to support their communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language pathology services to a caseload of 40-60 students within the special education population
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and school policies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall educational development of students

Qualifications:

• Current Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alabama
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably within a school setting
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and tailor interventions according to individual student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
