A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K-5 students in Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on providing specialized speech services to the special education population within a busy elementary school setting.

Key Information:

• Location: Birmingham, AL
• Setting: K-5 Elementary School
• Duration: Contract for the current school year (approx. 8/6/2025 to 5/23/2026)
• Caseload: 40-60 students primarily from the special education population
• Required Credentials: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Alabama with CCC credentials preferred

Responsibilities:

• Delivering individualized speech-language therapy services to students with special needs
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
• Participating in team meetings and providing input to support student success

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Alabama state licensure
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly special education caseloads, is highly desirable
• Strong communication and organizational skills
