A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving K-5 students in Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on providing specialized speech services to the special education population within a busy elementary school setting.
Key Information:
- Location: Birmingham, AL
- Setting: K-5 Elementary School
- Duration: Contract for the current school year (approx. 8/6/2025 to 5/23/2026)
- Caseload: 40-60 students primarily from the special education population
- Required Credentials: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Alabama with CCC credentials preferred
Responsibilities:
- Delivering individualized speech-language therapy services to students with special needs
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
- Participating in team meetings and providing input to support student success
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Alabama state licensure
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly special education caseloads, is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills
