Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Birmingham, AL by contributing your expertise as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. With onsite opportunities available across multiple campuses, you’ll have the unique chance to support students' communication needs while fostering growth throughout the school year.

Openings include full-time and split-campus positions, each with a varied yet manageable caseload of approximately 60 students. You’ll be part of a supportive educational environment from August 2026 to May 2027, collaborating with teams dedicated to student success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification in Alabama
  • Current SLP Educator certification for Alabama schools
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior experience in school-based SLP services strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide services onsite during standard school hours
  • Strong collaboration skills and a passion for working with a diverse student population

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
