In this position, you’ll play a vital role as a school-based SLP focusing on Pre-K speech needs. Your day will be filled with meaningful engagements—performing evaluations, delivering individualized therapy, and attending IEP meetings. There is also an emphasis on experience with augmentative communication devices, and you’ll provide services both for current students and new cases through Early Intervention. The need extends through a maternity leave of absence, potentially lasting past November.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure/certification for SLP (certifications required to interview)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP - CCC)
- Proven background with Pre-K, pediatric, and school-based therapy
- Experience working with augmentative/alternative communication devices preferred
- Previous IEP meeting participation and Early Intervention exposure a plus
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat speech/language needs for Pre-K students
- Deliver individualized services for a growing caseload
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend IEP meetings
- Integrate AAC devices when appropriate for student success
