This onsite, full-time position runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, covering a maternity leave at a local elementary school near Blue Springs, MO. You’ll play an essential part in enhancing communication skills and academic success for a unique caseload.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP license in the state of Missouri
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Prior school-based SLP experience, ideally with autism programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability in busy settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students in the autism program, targeting individualized speech, language, and social communication goals
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations as needed for students’ progress assessments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP discussions to align services
