Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a dedicated autism program. This onsite, full-time position runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, covering a maternity leave at a local elementary school near Blue Springs, MO. You’ll play an essential part in enhancing communication skills and academic success for a unique caseload.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active SLP license in the state of Missouri
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Prior school-based SLP experience, ideally with autism programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and adaptability in busy settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy to students in the autism program, targeting individualized speech, language, and social communication goals
  • Complete evaluations and re-evaluations as needed for students’ progress assessments
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to support student needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP discussions to align services
