Position Details:
- Start date as soon as possible, continuing through December 4th, with a strong likelihood of extension
- Located in a vibrant elementary school community
- Full-time hours, from 8:50 am to 4:25 pm
- Caseload includes a mix of students in 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades, as well as older students in flexible instruction programs, cross-categorical classrooms, a student in early education, one 3rd grader, and two kindergartners
- Weekly in-class language group in a supportive, collaborative FIT room every Tuesday
- Additional engagement as part of morning car rider supervision and two afternoon dismissal routines
Qualifications:
- Currently valid Missouri SLP or SLPA license (required)
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred for SLP applicants
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech and language services
- Confidence managing a diverse, mixed caseload ranging from early childhood to late elementary
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching teams, families, and support staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and consultation for approximately 37 students, with potential to support pending additions
- Facilitate group language instruction and tailored interventions in classroom settings
- Document progress, prepare reports, and engage in IEP processes as needed
- Contribute to the school community through supportive supervision duties
