Qualifications:

• Current ASHA certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Valid (or eligible) Alabama SLP license
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work well with a diverse student population and multidisciplinary teams

Role Overview:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Develop and implement targeted IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and school staff
• Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation, progress reports, and case notes
• Consult with families, educators, and other professionals to maximize therapy effectiveness
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student learning outcomes
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere for all students
