Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Alabama SLP license (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Strong background in school-based speech therapy
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Collaborative approach and adaptability to different educational environments
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely progress documentation
  • Work closely with educators, families, and other specialists to craft intervention strategies
  • Support student success by developing functional communication, speech, and language skills
  • Attend relevant meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
