Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades K-10 near Boerne, TX. This school-based position is perfect for a collaborative, compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys providing direct therapy and evaluations to a varied caseload.

With a dedicated schedule of three days per week, you’ll work directly with approximately 30-35 students. Your expertise will impact young learners, including those using AAC devices and students on the autism spectrum. The primary focus will be articulation and fluency, allowing you to employ a wide range of your professional skills. In this pivotal role, you’ll deliver much-needed intervention and help students reach their fullest potential.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Active Texas State Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Experience or interest in school-based practice; working with K-10 populations is preferred
  • Skills in direct therapy and evaluations for speech-language needs
  • Ability to work with students using AAC devices and those with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Proficiency in articulation and fluency intervention
  • Comfortable with on-site school settings
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Your regular responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for assigned students
  • Deliver engaging, data-driven direct therapy sessions tailored to each child’s unique goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to promote student success
  • Maintain detailed documentation, progress notes, and comply with state and district requirements
