Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this role, you’ll work two days per week with an early childhood caseload, helping preschool-aged students develop essential communication skills in a nurturing environment. You’ll collaborate closely with an onsite SLP for added support, allowing for ongoing professional growth and teamwork.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences Disorders from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in Illinois, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individualized or group therapy
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and technology a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to early childhood students onsite two days per week
- Complete assessments, progress monitoring, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy into the classroom and support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing measurable goals
- Consult and coordinate with the onsite SLP for case management and mentorship
- Adapt approaches to meet each child’s needs and encourage engagement
