This position is a temporary Speech-Language Pathologist role, covering a maternity leave from September 3rd to November 25th. Experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as well as behavior management is especially valued, as you’ll be collaborating with students who require thoughtful, individualized interventions.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP
  • Experience with early childhood, pre-K or pre-school caseloads
  • Familiarity working in both integrated classrooms and sub-separate special education settings
  • Background in AAC and implementing communication devices
  • Skills in positive behavior support and management techniques
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, aides, and families

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct speech-language therapy to Pre-K students
  • Assessing communication needs and developing individualized plans
  • Supporting students in both inclusive and specialized environments
  • Consulting with staff and families on AAC strategies and progress
  • Documenting sessions, tracking progress, and meeting compliance requirements
