This full-time, contract position spans the entire school year, allowing you to make a lasting impact while working closely with dedicated colleagues and engaging students. With opportunities across elementary and intermediate school sites, you'll address unique student needs, fostering communication skills in both individual and group settings.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
  • Active SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Licensed (or ability to obtain licensure) as an SLP in Illinois
  • Experience with pediatric, school-aged populations preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and school documentation requirements
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proficiency with teletherapy platforms a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to K-8 students
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of communication disorders
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Serve two school sites:
    • Shabonna Elementary (K-3) with a caseload of 49 students
    • Liberty Intermediate (4-6) and Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center (7-8), with a combined caseload of 53 students
  • Engage in teletherapy and in-person supports as needed
