Key qualifications and desired background:

  • Active WA State Department of Health SLP License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • WA State SLP ESA (Educational Staff Associate)
  • Ability to provide fingerprints and pass WSP and FBI background checks, including a sexual misconduct clearance
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License or other evidence of reliable mobility
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric speech-language setting preferred
  • New SLP graduates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct services and consultation to students from diverse backgrounds
  • Document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Adapt therapy techniques to serve students’ varying communication needs
