Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2024-2027 school years. Multiple openings are available, including two full-time positions (elementary level) and one part-time (.8 FTE) position (high school level). All roles are in-person, fostering rich interactions within school communities.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid WA SLP License and ESA certification
- Completion of fingerprinting through OSPI
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of an educational team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and assessment services to students with a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with state and federal requirements, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation
- Consult and partner with teachers, families, and support staff to promote generalization of skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings, parent conferences, and staff meetings
