Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Bremerton, WA

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an Early Learning elementary setting. The anticipated start date is August 24th, marking the beginning of a meaningful school year focused on student growth and collaboration. This full-time, on-site role offers a well-structured 37.5-hour workweek, spanning Monday through Friday, with staff hours from 8:45am to 4:15pm. The student day runs from 9:10am to 4:00pm, allowing dedicated time before and after for professional responsibilities.

You’ll have the chance to deliver crucial services in a variety of engaging contexts—including developmental preschool (with no student attendance for preschool on Wednesdays), itinerant support, Child Find evaluations, and possibly transition-to-kindergarten activities depending on caseload needs. Your expertise will ensure that students receive thorough assessments, individualized education plans, and consistent support as they build foundational communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active SLP license in Washington State
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
• Comfortable conducting evaluations, leading assessment meetings, and developing/implementing IEPs
• Strong communicator and effective team collaborator
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt services as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform student speech and language evaluations, including Child Find
• Coordinate and participate in meetings to interpret findings and support IEP development (typically before or after the student day)
• Provide direct and indirect speech-language services for developmental preschool and K–4 students
• Offer itinerant support and participate in kindergarten transition programming, as assigned
• Maintain clear documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
