A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a school location in Bremerton, WA, with a start date of August 24, 2026. This role may require a few days before the official start for training purposes. The school year begins on August 31, 2026, and the assignment is expected to run through June 16, 2027, with potential extension to June 23, 2027, due to snow makeup days.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through age 22.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50 students.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Holds valid credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 50 students.
- Familiarity with therapy techniques appropriate for a wide age range (PK to age 22).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work at various school sites as assigned.
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time contract position with 37.5 hours per week.
- Exact work location will be assigned; services may span early childhood through young adult populations.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate between $50 and $65 based on experience and qualifications.
