Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This exciting opportunity begins in late August, with the potential for paid training in the week before classes start. You’ll work with a diverse caseload of up to 50 students, ranging from pre-kindergarten through age 22, delivering direct and consultative services in a school-based setting. The specific school site will be determined prior to your assignment, offering you the chance to bring your expertise to where it’s needed most.
Enjoy a steady, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve their communicative and educational goals. The contract will tentatively run through mid-June, with potential snow day extensions.
What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility for licensure in Washington)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred, though strong CFs will be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is ideal
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 students
- Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and service documentation
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech-language therapy to students on your caseload
- Develop and implement individualized plans in alignment with educational goals
- Document student progress and maintain thorough, confidential records
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise for effective interventions
- Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with educators and families
