Step into a rewarding, full-time opportunity supporting students’ communication skills across PreK through 12th grade. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 75 students, engaging with children in preschool settings, home environments, and throughout three school sites. The role is slated to begin August 4, 2026, with an anticipated completion around May 25, 2026.
Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) will make a significant difference in each student’s day. You'll be pivotal in helping children reach vital speech and language milestones, collaborating with educators and families to tailor support for every learner’s needs. The daily schedule runs from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, providing a structure that promotes both work productivity and life balance.
Requirements to thrive in this role:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or relevant SDE certification
- Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP practice
- Familiarity with a broad PreK–12th population, including early intervention and older students
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with school staff, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven capacity to manage a caseload of approximately 75 students across multiple locations
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized therapy planning
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Travel between three assigned school sites and provide home-based services as needed
- Offer consultation and collaborate on intervention strategies supporting staff and family engagement
