Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) in Connecticut
- Familiarity with providing therapy in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, time-management, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between two nearby elementary school locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students following IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Adapt interventions based on students’ evolving needs throughout the school year
