Speech Language Pathologist in Bridgeport, CT

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with educators, staff, and families
• Familiarity with conducting assessments, developing IEP goals, and delivering evidence-based therapy
• Ability to foster an inclusive and encouraging environment for students of varying backgrounds and abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students with a range of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and interpret assessment results to guide intervention planning
• Create and implement individual education program (IEP) goals in line with student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and administrators to support student progress in the classroom
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports to ensure compliance and share outcomes
• Offer strategies and support to families and caregivers for carryover of skills
