This opportunity, situated near Bridgeport, CT, is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who thrives on helping young learners achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license in the state
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by ASHA
  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Compassion, patience, and a student-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as specified in their IEPs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, generate reports, and participate in eligibility and review meetings
  • Collaborate with instructional staff, special educators, and support personnel to integrate strategies into classroom activities
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to a variety of communication needs including articulation, fluency, language, and social skills
  • Consult with families, offering strategies to reinforce progress at home
  • Keep current with best practices and continuing professional development
