You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff while delivering expert speech-language services to a diverse range of students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds considered
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to create individualized and group therapy plans
- Passion for supporting students’ social, academic, and personal growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans tailored to each student
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and maintain compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service professionals
- Attend IEP meetings and provide insights for educational planning
- Educate staff and families on strategies to foster communication skills in various settings
- Support positive student outcomes by consistently engaging and motivating learners
