This full-time, contract opportunity runs from ASAP until the end of the school year and is located near Bridgeport, CT. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff while delivering expert speech-language services to a diverse range of students.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds considered
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create individualized and group therapy plans
  • Passion for supporting students’ social, academic, and personal growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans tailored to each student
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services individually and in small groups
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and maintain compliance with school policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service professionals
  • Attend IEP meetings and provide insights for educational planning
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to foster communication skills in various settings
  • Support positive student outcomes by consistently engaging and motivating learners
