Step into an impactful Speech-Language Pathologist assignment serving middle school learners in a supportive educational environment near Bridgeport, CT. This contract opportunity spans from August 24, 2027, to December 21, 2027, offering a dynamic and meaningful experience in a school setting.
In this position, you’ll work with a caseload of 23 students with diverse classifications, engaging them through direct instruction, targeted interventions, and consultation in accordance with IEP requirements. Ideal candidates are experienced in providing speech-language services within schools and navigating the evaluation process, including conducting both initial and re-evaluations, preparing detailed reports, and delivering trimester progress updates for each student. Collaboration with staff and families is essential, as is supporting annual IEP meetings and contributing to the overall school community during duties such as lunch or bus supervision.

- Valid SLP licensure and credentials required for school-based practice
- Demonstrated expertise supporting students with varied speech and language needs
- Strong organizational and written communication abilities for producing IEP documentation and evaluation reports

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and consultative services based on IEP mandates
- Complete comprehensive initial and re-evaluations, including timely report writing

- Assume occasional non-instructional responsibilities, including lunch or bus duty
