Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license valid for practice in Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status considered
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting students
- Ability to create and adapt individualized treatment plans
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Maintain clear records and progress notes in alignment with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and support personnel
- Provide resources, guidance, and education to staff and parents on strategies for communication development
- Stay current with best practices and requirements in school-based SLP services
