Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license valid for practice in Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status considered
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting students
  • Ability to create and adapt individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Maintain clear records and progress notes in alignment with school and regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and support personnel
  • Provide resources, guidance, and education to staff and parents on strategies for communication development
  • Stay current with best practices and requirements in school-based SLP services
