K-5 Grades 9 - 12 School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bridgeport, Connecticut

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Clinical experience with school-aged children, including elementary, middle, and high school populations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Experience with IEP documentation and progress monitoring

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in grades K-12
• Develop and implement targeted therapy sessions both individually and in groups
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate effective communication strategies in the classroom
• Prepare and maintain accurate student records, including IEPs and progress reports
• Offer family education and recommendations to support carryover of skills at home
• Contribute insights to support problem-solving and foster a positive learning environment
