Certified Grades K - 5 Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Bronx, NY

Make a difference supporting students from kindergarten through high school, working with a diverse caseload that includes individuals on the autism spectrum, ages 5–21. This flexible contract opportunity offers three distinct roles—choose full-time, part-time, or a maternity leave coverage assignment (July-October)—to match your availability and career goals.

Leverage your skills as a certified SLP to provide impactful intervention in a school-based setting. You’ll play a key part in helping students communicate and thrive, conducting both individual and group therapy sessions, and collaborating closely with staff and families to achieve student IEP goals.

Desired qualifications:

• Current Speech-Language Pathology certification
• Experience working with students in grades K-12
• Strong familiarity with autism spectrum disorders
• Preferred: Experience utilizing AAC devices (such as TouchChat, LAMP, or Proloquo)
• Background in managing diverse caseloads is a plus

Role details and responsibilities:

• Choose from full-time (30 hours/week), part-time (2-3 days/week; 25 hours/week), or maternity leave coverage
• Hours: 8:30am-2:00pm, with 10 sessions per day (half-hour unpaid lunch)
• Conduct approximately 50 sessions, delivering daily therapy to a range of students
• Lead individual and group treatment activities tailored to each student’s needs
• Complete thorough documentation: daily treatment notes, quarterly and annual progress reports, IEP draft contributions
• Engage in monthly audits of your notes and attendance records to support school compliance
