This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with approximately 30 students, addressing articulation, language needs, and providing targeted interventions for a few students on the autism spectrum. As an established Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), your expertise will be valued in fostering communication growth and helping students overcome obstacles to academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience in a school setting with varied age groups (preschool to middle school)
- Proficiency in supporting diverse communication needs, including articulation and receptive/expressive language
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and relevant interventions
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach with educators, families, and support staff
- Bilingual skills are a plus and highly welcomed
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services, targeting articulation and language objectives
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and families to support student growth
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each student's strengths and needs
- Maintain compliance with school policies and professional standards
- Provide expertise on communication strategies and classroom modifications
