This contract role near Brookline, MO is perfect for dedicated SLPs or SLPAs excited to support children from kindergarten through 4th grade during the upcoming school year, from August 10, 2026 through the end of the academic year.
You’ll work a consistent weekly schedule (37.5-40 hours) in one elementary school serving a diverse population of students, including essential skills, cross-categorical, and speech-only classrooms. With a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students, you’ll have the chance to deliver meaningful, individualized services—and for SLPs, provide mentorship and supervision to an SLPA.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as an SLP or SLPA
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required for SLPs
- Experience with pediatric populations and school-based settings is strongly preferred
- Comfortable with a range of communication disorders and therapy approaches
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in kindergarten through fourth grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs appropriate to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Consult with educational staff and participate in team meetings
- For SLPs: offer supervision and support to an SLPA working in the setting
