This role focuses on delivering quality therapeutic interventions, primarily for pediatric populations in educational settings. Both seasoned SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to bring their expertise or emerging skills to this collaborative environment. Teletherapy options may be available for increased flexibility.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged students, either in person or via teletherapy
- Strong knowledge of IEPs, progress monitoring, and goal-setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Facilitate therapy sessions, adapting interventions to student needs—both in person and potentially through teletherapy platforms
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain timely documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and reports
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to school staff as needed
