What You’ll Bring:
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligible CFY status
- New York SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Background in pediatric or school-based speech-language therapy
- Strong rapport-building with students, families, and educators
- Ability to create engaging therapy sessions tailored to individual needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Organizational skills and flexibility to manage a dynamic caseload
Your Daily Impact:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with educational staff and families on IEP development and progress
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and document findings/recommendations
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, student-focused care
- Participate in school-based meetings and professional development as required
- Maintain records and progress reports in compliance with educational standards
- Offer guidance to staff and families on communication strategies and resources
