Grow your career while making an impact by providing specialized speech-language services to students ages 12-21 in a school-based setting near Brooklyn, NY. This contract position offers a part-time schedule of 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm. The assignment runs from March 1, 2026, to June 1, 2026, providing you the chance to work with a diverse student population across grades K–12.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Speech-Language Pathologist certification and state licensure
  • Demonstrated experience delivering services to students from grades K-12, specifically grades 6–8 and 9–12
  • Strong background in successfully engaging and supporting resistant or reluctant youth
  • Familiarity with the requirements of IEP documentation and service delivery
  • Comfort with various service modalities; open to considering teletherapy or hybrid models
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver IEP-mandated speech-language therapy sessions tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure cohesive student support
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and school policies
  • Adapt strategies to effectively reach and motivate students who may be struggling with engagement
  • Participate in team meetings, providing input on student progress and intervention plans
