Step into a pivotal role supporting students at the middle school level as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP – CCC) during a maternity leave assignment. As an SLP, you’ll work directly with middle school students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication challenges. You'll be a critical part of the Special Education team, helping students succeed academically and socially while providing expert guidance to staff and families.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Recent experience working with middle school students or similar developmental age (preferred)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain timely documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress reports as required
- Offer consultation and resources to educators and families
