Step into a pivotal role supporting students at the middle school level as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP – CCC) during a maternity leave assignment. This full-time contract opportunity, running from August through mid-November, is perfect for a dedicated SLP eager to make a positive impact and provide vital services within a collaborative educational setting.

As an SLP, you’ll work directly with middle school students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication challenges. You'll be a critical part of the Special Education team, helping students succeed academically and socially while providing expert guidance to staff and families.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • Recent experience working with middle school students or similar developmental age (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Collaborative, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain timely documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress reports as required
  • Offer consultation and resources to educators and families
