Speech Language Pathologist in Bryan, TX

This full-time, in-person contract position is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to work within a school setting for the full academic year in Bryan, TX. The role primarily focuses on serving middle school students, providing speech therapy services that cater to their unique communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to middle school students
• Assess and monitor student progress to determine ongoing eligibility for services
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create comprehensive therapy plans
• Supervise and support an SLP-Assistant in accordance with all ASHA supervision requirements
• Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies based on student needs
• Manage caseload effectively, including transitioning students out of speech services when appropriate

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Completed all ASHA requirements necessary to supervise an SLP-Assistant; prior supervision experience in school settings is highly valued
• Experience working with AAC tools and techniques
• Previous work with middle school-aged students
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload dynamics and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
