High School Elementary Speech Language Pathologist in Buellton, CA

Key qualifications and experience:

• Current, valid SLP certification and licensure
• Previous experience working in K-12 school environments strongly preferred
• Capable of collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
• Familiarity with development, implementation, and review of IEPs
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for a range of speech and language disorders
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfortable providing services in elementary, middle, and high school settings

Essential responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop intervention plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Deliver direct therapy services individually and in group settings
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to IEP development
• Support teachers and staff with strategies to foster effective communication in the classroom
• Offer guidance and support to families, helping them understand and reinforce therapeutic goals
