A Speech and Language Pathologist is needed for a contract position located in Buena Park, CA. This role focuses on supporting preschool children and a Mild Moderate Special Day Class (SDC) classroom within a school setting. The assignment requires availability for two days per week, providing specialized speech and language therapy services to young learners with diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in preschool and special education students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students' specific needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure effective communication goals and services

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license or certification
  • Experience working in school settings with preschool and special education populations
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families
  • Ability to manage time efficiently within a part-time schedule
