Apply NowA fantastic contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist eager to make a significant impact in a school setting. Begin your next assignment as soon as possible, supporting preschool classrooms, engaging with the Preschool Assessment Team, and working within mild-moderate Special Day Classes (SDC) serving grades 1-2. This full-time role spans Monday through Friday, providing a vibrant, collaborative environment where your expertise will support young learners’ communication development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Holds current certification and licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- Experience working in a school-based setting, preferably at the preschool or elementary level
- Strong background with preschool populations and comfort facilitating preschool assessments
- Knowledge of mild-moderate disabilities and experience supporting student communication needs within SDCs
- Superior collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pre-school aged students
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services, both individually and in groups, according to IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to support students’ educational and communication goals
- Participate actively as a member of the Preschool Assessment Team, contributing to evaluations and eligibility determinations
- Provide timely documentation, progress monitoring, and data collection in accordance with district and regulatory compliance standards
