Pre-School Licensed School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Buena Park, California

Qualifications and Experience

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and certification for practice in California
• Clinical expertise working with preschool-age children is preferred
• Prior experience with preschool assessments and/or Preschool Assessment Teams highly valued
• Understanding of supporting students within a mild/moderate special day class (SDC) environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators and specialists
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy to preschool students, addressing diverse needs
• Participate in comprehensive assessments as part of the Preschool Assessment Team
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with established protocols
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes growth and learning for all students
• Consult with teachers and staff to provide strategies for supporting communication in the classroom
