This dynamic assignment supports preschool students, collaborates with the Preschool Assessment Team, and contributes expertise within mild to moderate Special Day Classes (1-2 SDC). The position is full-time, operating five days per week, and begins as soon as possible.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children
- Background in conducting assessments and developing individualized plans for students with speech and language needs
- Ability to effectively collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including teachers and assessment specialists
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt strategies to support students in both general education and special education settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language services to preschool students, addressing a variety of communication needs
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate in eligibility meetings as part of the Preschool Assessment Team
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative services to students in mild to moderate 1-2 SDC classrooms
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate in staff meetings, family conferences, and professional development as needed
