Certified Pre-School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Buena Park, CA

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Speech and Language Pathologist to support young learners in a contract role. The assignment is available immediately and involves working five days per week with preschool-aged students, collaborating with the Preschool Assessment Team, and providing specialized services to students in Mild Moderate SDC (Special Day Class) for grades 1 and 2.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Speech-Language Pathology certification and licensure
• Previous experience in school settings, particularly with early childhood or preschool-age students
• Familiarity with Mild to Moderate SDC environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate therapy plans
• Dedication to supporting a positive learning environment for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy to preschool students
• Participate actively on the Preschool Assessment Team to help assess and identify student needs
• Serve students in Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC, adapting approaches to individual IEPs
• Document student progress, maintain records, and communicate with staff and families
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop strategies and interventions
• Contribute to IEP meetings and goal setting
• Stay current with best practices in the field and attend required trainings or meetings
