School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Buffalo, New York

Two opportunities are available for Speech Language Pathologists to make a meaningful impact in school-based settings near Buffalo, NY. These contract positions offer varied experiences, from working with high school students in a life skills context to supporting learners in middle school environments.

Open Roles:

• One full-time SLP will divide their week between a high school life skills program (approximately 70%) and a nearby non-public school (approximately 30%). The school day runs from 7:30am to 2:45pm and consists of 7-8 daily 30-minute sessions with scheduled lunch and planning periods. The assignment is anticipated from late October through the end of January 2027.
• Another full-time SLP role is based entirely in a middle school, with similar session structure and built-in lunch and planning time. The workday starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:30pm. This opportunity begins in early November and extends through January’s end.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
• Experience or strong interest in school-based practice, particularly with life skills or middle school populations
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students according to IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student achievement
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Deliver engaging, individualized sessions tailored to each student’s needs
