Step into a rewarding school-based contract role supporting students in grades K-10 near Bulverde, TX. This opportunity focuses on providing high-quality speech-language pathology services three days a week. You’ll serve a dedicated caseload of approximately 30-35 students, delivering both evaluations and direct therapy, including work with students using AAC devices and those on the autism spectrum. Articulation and fluency are at the core of your interventions, giving you the chance to make measurable progress with each student.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Texas State Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working in school settings with diverse caseloads
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies for supporting autistic students
- Strong skills in articulation and fluency therapy
- Committed to collaborating on-site with school staff and student families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students in grades K-10
- Develop and implement individualized direct therapy plans
- Manage a varied caseload efficiently, prioritizing student needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date student records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer support and recommendations for classroom-based accommodations
