Step into an impactful role serving K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This on-site contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a diverse student population, making a direct difference in communication, social, and academic outcomes. You'll be assigned to a single campus, providing focused support and fostering strong relationships with students, teachers, and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist licensure is required
- Prior experience in school-based settings supporting K-12 students preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly valued
- Must be able to complete or verify fingerprints through the Texas Education Agency (TEA); results may take up to 10 business days
- Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage caseloads of approximately 60-65 students
- Commitment to on-site service; this role is not open to virtual work
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s unique needs
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families for holistic student support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and provide consultation as requested
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Support and advocate for students’ communication and academic growth
