Desired Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Self-Contained General Education Endorsement or a CDE license
  • Substitute Teacher License or Short Term Sub License
  • Experience working with school-age students is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff
  • Strong communication, organizational, and adaptability skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment and ensure the inclusive participation of all students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student learning and progress
  • Monitor, record, and report on student performance and progress to stakeholders
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Maintain compliance with all district and state guidelines related to special education
