Desired Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Self-Contained General Education Endorsement or a CDE license
- Substitute Teacher License or Short Term Sub License
- Experience working with school-age students is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive classroom environment and ensure the inclusive participation of all students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student learning and progress
- Monitor, record, and report on student performance and progress to stakeholders
- Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Maintain compliance with all district and state guidelines related to special education
