This position spans from September through the end of November, with a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM. As a valued professional in this role, you will play an essential part in fostering students’ communication skills in a supportive educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current, valid SLP license/certification in Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to new settings and work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech/language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and contribute to comprehensive evaluation reports
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision making
- Support students’ growth in areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
