Step into a dynamic and supportive school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in secondary and high school, including those in secondary transition programs. This rewarding contract opportunity is located near Burnsville, MN, with a start date of August 24, 2026 and extending through June 7, 2027. You’ll be working full-time, between 37.5 and 40 hours per week, supporting a caseload of approximately 50 students.
Ideal candidates bring expertise working with high school and older students, with a passion for fostering communication skills and guiding young adults toward their next steps.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain by the start date)
- SLP-CCC or CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience (clinical or professional) working in school settings, preferably at the secondary level
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for students in high school and secondary transition
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Deliver group and individual therapy sessions based on student goals
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development as required
