School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Burnsville, North Carolina

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and support
• Document evaluation findings, ongoing progress, and service delivery according to school and district guidelines
• Provide support, resources, and education for teachers and family members to facilitate student success in and out of the classroom
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise relevant to student goals
