Make an impact this school year by supporting students’ communication development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This opportunity is located near the Byhalia, MS area and calls for two dedicated, in-person SLPs to provide services across four school sites, covering two regions. With a manageable caseload of approximately 34–40 students, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and empower growth throughout the full academic year. There may also be the flexibility to explore virtual options, provided an SLPA is onsite to assist.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current CCC-SLP certification
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for school-based practice
  • Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and age groups
  • Comfort providing therapy, evaluations, and supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to team meetings to help determine student needs
  • Maintain clear and thorough documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Adapt therapy techniques as needed for student learning styles and needs
  • Travel between assigned school buildings within two designated areas
  • Participate in professional development and training as required
