Step into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school community near Caldwell, NJ. This contract position is ideal for an experienced SLP seeking a full-time assignment covering a leave from September through October. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and support a diverse student population, making a meaningful difference each day.

In this role, you will serve elementary, middle, and high school students, working with varied schedules: elementary (8:45am–3pm), middle school (8:30am–2:50pm), and high school (8:05am–3pm). The majority of your caseload will be with middle school students, including those in self-contained LLD and AU classrooms. Elementary responsibilities will require approximately a day and a half each week (supporting around 15 students), with the remaining focus on speech-only services and students eligible for special education.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license and CCC-SLP certification
  • Prior pediatric or school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Skilled in assessment and development of IEPs for a range of needs, from speech-only to complex cases
  • Compassionate communication and collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility to manage a caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school levels

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for students aged elementary to high school
  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual and small group settings
  • Collaborate with special education teachers and related service providers
  • Maintain detailed therapy records and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
