Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active state Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to apply)
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students across various grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting approaches as needed to meet diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate communication goals within classroom routines
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Communicate regularly with families to support ongoing progress and address any concerns
