Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Callao, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Virginia SLP license or eligibility to obtain
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience with elementary-aged students beneficial
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) alongside teachers, parents, and specialists
• Provide both direct therapy services and classroom-based interventions
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
• Stay current with best practices and legal requirements for school-based speech-language therapy
