A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to serve students from early childhood through 8th grade in a dynamic school-based setting near Calumet City, IL. This full academic year contract position begins in mid-August and continues through late May, providing vital services on-site (remote options are not available) to a dedicated student caseload. The district’s needs will be met by two SLPs, each holding responsibility for a shared group of approximately 70 students, divided according to designated FTEs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License)
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist credential from IDFPR
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience in school settings, working with students from early childhood through middle school
  • Ability to collaborate with another SLP for efficient caseload management
  • ISBE number required for consideration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, using evidence-based interventions
  • Develop individualized goals, monitor progress, and document student achievement
  • Collaborate with educational teams, including teachers, administrators, and families
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Maintain compliance with all district, state, and union regulations
