Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) required
  • Recent experience as a school-based SLP, specifically working with elementary-aged students
  • Strong understanding of speech/language assessment, therapy, and documentation in an educational environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating with school staff and families
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals, adjusting as necessary for progress
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress
  • Engage in collaboration with teachers, special education teams, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development as needed
