As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in helping students improve their communication abilities, strengthen social skills, and enhance their academic engagement. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to tailor interventions that meet each student’s needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience providing services to students in grades K–12
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in K–12 students
- Develop individualized intervention plans and set measurable goals aligned with student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with teachers and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Track student progress and complete required documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Deliver services in individual and group settings, using creative and effective strategies
- Stay informed on best practices and emerging developments in speech-language pathology
