Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for speech and language disorders
  • Experience with healthcare-related SLP services and familiarity with teletherapy models
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
  • Ability to develop and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintain thorough documentation
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with a talent for engaging students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic speech and language services to students, tailored to individual needs
  • Conduct assessments and diagnoses for speech, language, and voice disorders
  • Offer regular screenings and update intervention plans as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teachers to observe and recommend appropriate supports for students
  • Communicate with parents and families regarding student progress and available resources
  • Guide and educate school staff on speech and language disabilities through inservice presentations and consultations
  • Maintain meticulous records in line with special education requirements, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs for students as required
  • Additional duties as assigned to support student success
