Step into an important role supporting students’ success as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant educational setting near Camden, ME. This contract-to-hire opportunity is full-time, following the school year calendar with 183 workdays, offering up to 8 hours per day of engaging, in-person services. Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment best practices for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions on campus
- Conduct speech/language screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with special education teams
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate outcomes to families and staff
- Consult with classroom teachers and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages student progress and confidence
